It HAS TO BE EXACTLY 900°! not 899, not 901. Then it asks you to turn your wheel left or right to 90° so you have to turn it and the game calculates your degrees of rotation for your wheel while you turning the wheel. From that point I also never touch the steering ration setting in tuning option as I had massive problems with it in Pcars1.Īnd last thing I would advice is that when you calibrate your wheel, firstly it asks you to turn your wheel fully to the left or right -> do that.

So don't try that I think I had to recalibrate the wheel completely again in game (delete your all wheel settings by restoring it to deafult) and it worked again normally, so the wheel set its rotation according to the car you are in (as it should). I tried to mess with steering ration in setups but that didn't work either. Once I did that in one car and the wheel rotation was broken since. The other thing that happened for me in Pcars 2 is that you can actualyl change your degrees of rotation on the fly in the game.

So from that point, I use just global settings. It worked fine but when I changed my rotation for Dirt rally profile from 900 to 540° it somehow changed that rotation even in AC and I didn't know why -> after that I knew it remembered the dirt rally settings and not AC. Strange you are struggling do you use "specific game settings" fpr Pcars2 or do oyu use "global"? I know that I had problems before where I assigned every racing game (AC, Dirt Rally, Pcars) to "specific game settings and I had some global settings aswell. I will have a new wheel ready next year, so hopefully i will return for the next season. So thats why i pulled the plug on the game this season at least. Hoped i could just enjoy some good racing down the ranks and hopefully understand more with time, but then the evaluation race yesterday with rotation messing up was the last drop. But after so much practice and being so far off is just impossible for me to understand. I have had so many theories about this and i tried to accept that its just me not adapting to the handling in Pcars 2 vs 1. So there is no specific section i lose more time than others. The loss of time is also constant on the whole lap. On this aspect its worrying that i could practice for hours without finding any improvement. The problem then started to happen between sessions, so the rotation was totally off moving from qualifying to race.īut even with the turning issue solved im still 3-4 secs off the pace.

I got the above problem solved, at least i thought so, by removing all drivers and do a driver cleaner. Is it the way to go?Īlso a quick question for all Thrustmaster users: My screw that should be tightening the whell and the base, got a little bit too deep (maximum for my screw is like 70%, and 1cm sticking out, not like on my friend's T300 where it goes all the way in) and dig into the wheel, does it could affect the wheel and in game steering? I don't think so since it digs into in just a little, but hey, why not asking the experts.First of all thanks to all of you reaching out to help and support in different threads and messages.

Screenshot: Also, is the time to learn and master manual gearbox really worth it, or better i just stay on automatic gearbox at the beginning?Īlso i saw that a lot of fast players are driving like, they sliding the car into the corners.

Tl dr, i would like to get your advises on how to set up the wheel (in and out game settings, FFB) properly for comfortable driving, or just get a look at your settings and compare it with mine. I want the wheel to be as responsive as it can be, but not overreactive, hard to explain what i mean but maybe you'll get it. I don't know, the wheel feels pretty much loose at the very beginning of turning, like first 15 degrees in left or right, and i don't like it at all. I'm also suffering a lot with brakes locking, but i think it will get better with time, with every lap on the circuit my braking points will get better and better, so it's not really an issue.+ I just want to find a perfect, well balanced setup which can be used on every track. On the other hand, with that settings, i'm suffering a lot on tracks with a lot of fast left-right handers like COTA. On SPA for example, with a Ferrari 488 GTE, i'm doing around 2:16 with default setup which is 4 seconds slower that the world record for this car, and it's annoying me pretty much. I think it suits my driving style, but not on every circuit to be honest. I'm still pretty much new to simracing, and i have a few questions.įor the moment, i'm racing in Project Cars 2 (80+ hours on record, but still a newbie with the wheel).Īfter hours of trying different setups, i came with 540 degree rotation wheel and 100% sensitivity, also steering deadzone on 0.
